Warranty
In this Limited Warranty, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the warrantor listed above. The terms “you” and “your” mean the consumer.
Apex Iron Doors warrants our products to be free from defects in material and workmanship. All products are hand crafted, and hand finished and are therefore considered to be unique to each owner. Variations in finish and design are common in the finished product. Paint finishes will naturally age relative to exposure to natural elements and is therefore not covered by any warranty either implied or expressed. Usage and exposure to various elements can and will affect the product in different ways.
Apex Iron Doors reserves the right to repair or replace the product in question at its sole discretion.
What this warranty covers: Subject to the limitations provided in this Warranty and under applicable law, the periods of coverage are as follows:
Door unit: The door and jamb is covered for a period of 10 years from the date of sale to you.
Paint and Finish: The paint and finish that was professionally applied by the manufacturer is warrantied for 5 years from the date of sale to you. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for the original, manufacturer applied, door finish.
Glass: The glass is covered for 1 year from the date of sale to you.
What this warranty does NOT cover: The handle, hardware, weather-stripping, post-manufacture paint finishes, labor charges for installation, removal or reinstallation of doors, or damage from any cause other than defects in material and workmanship including but not limited to damage caused by paint, acid, stain, any other chemicals, accident, misuse, abuse, foreign objects, salt spray, improper installation, modification, service, improper use, unreasonable use, failure to provide reasonable maintenance, force majeure, or acts of nature.
- Glass breakage due to impact of foreign objects and glass defects due to chemicals or acts of nature are not covered under this warranty.
- Products installed within 2 miles of any coastline are not covered under this warranty.
- Regular wear of weather stripping, thresholds, and door sweeps as these are not related to door construction.
- Tape or any other adhesive product that is put directly onto the door and or jamb. This will subsequently void the finish warranty on our product. Apex Iron Doors products are finished with a fourteen-step automotive grade finish and should be treated as such.
What we will do to correct problems: To correct problems covered by this Warranty, we will only repair or replace the defective door part covered at the sole discretion of Apex Iron Doors.
What we will NOT do: There are limitations, conditions, and restrictions on the warranty coverage. We will not pay for any labor charges for installation, removal or reinstallation of doors.
While necessary maintenance, repairs or labor on your product can be performed by any company, we recommend that you use only professional/qualified companies. Improperly performing work or repairs voids this warranty.
Shipping damage: If you notice any damage to the packaging (wooden crate, cardboard packaging or protective wrapping) at time of arrival, it is imperative that you note this damage on the documents provided by the shipping company and notify Apex Iron Doors within 24 hours of receipt of the product. Shipping damages are not considered a product defect, therefore are not covered under this warranty. The shipping company will be responsible for reimbursement of repairs or in extreme cases, the construction of a new door.
Installation damage: Damage during installation is not covered under this warranty. Scratching, scuff marks, dings and other damage as a result of handling during receiving and the installation process is not considered a manufacturer’s defect.
How you can get service: It is imperative you contact us immediately after noticing there is an issue, so the damage does not get any worse. Once notified we will inform you on the resolution process. Images or video of any issues you feel are under warranty are greatly appreciated.
How State Law Relates to the Warranty: This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
To ensure the beauty of your product, we suggest the following methods of care: To clean your product, we recommend using a mild soap and water mixture. Refrain from using harsh chemicals as this can break down the finish. We suggest greasing the door hinges once per year to ensure smooth operation of the door.
This warranty is not transferable.
